How to submit an aerobic maintenance report in Colorado County, Texas

Colorado County’s permitting authority is Colorado County ((979) 732-2435, ccpermits@co.colorado.tx.us). The county has not published how maintenance providers submit the §285.91 report; most Texas authorities accept email or a document upload, and some run a portal.

Reports are due within 14 days after the test (30 TAC §285.7(e)(1)(B)).

What every Texas report must contain

  • ·The date of the visit and the name and licence number of the provider or technician who made it
  • ·The system owner, the address and the permit number
  • ·Readings taken: chlorine residual, effluent quality, sludge and scum where applicable
  • ·Whether the disinfection device held an adequate supply
  • ·Any maintenance, repair or part replaced during the visit
  • ·What the owner was told to do, and the provider’s signature

The two clocks

A conventional aerobic system with surface application is tested every four months, and each report is filed within 14 days of the test — to Colorado County and to the owner. Miss the second clock and the visit still happened, but the record says it did not.
